Most moms brag about their kids being in football, baseball, or lacrosse. I want to brag about my brainchild, Jamie, and all the great young men and staff of the Brother Rice High School Robotics Club.
This past weekend, the guys took the number one spot in the tournament sponsored by MATE (Marine Advanced Technology Education) and now are headed to Texas – specifically, NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. Having won first place overall at MATE’s Midwest Regional Championship, scoring the most points in the pool and for the engineering presentation, the Brother Rice Robotics Club will compete against other teams from CONUS, Hawaii, Canada, Bermuda, Egypt, China, Scotland, Russia, and Turkey.
What a fantastic achievement! (I have to give credit to the teachers, Mr. Mostyn and Mr. Gamboa, for the informational packet, as I lifted my information from there.)
