It seems it has caught the fancy of the car-buying public, too, with huge numbers on order. In my part of the country, where coal-fired power plants still produce most of the electricity still, this seems like a curse wrapped in a promise, yet more and more wind-driven generation and geothermal power are catching on. Perhaps the promise will be met after all!
